Rallye Hessisches Bergland last weekend took Thomas and me as close to the overall victory as never before. On the one hand it is really satisfying to see, where our current speed brought us after this season, on the other hand it is simply frustrating that the first overall victory in the S2000 didn’t work out for us in the end.
In general, you can read what happened at the weekend pretty well in the articles at Rallye-Magazin and HJS-DRC. Our speed was surprisingly high – even for those keeping an eye on us for quite a while now. To wrap it up in a few short words is disillusioning in the end: Too many small mistakes summed up so that we lost the victory which would have been possible due on our own. Congratulations to Stefan and Natalie for your deserved victory, but we will take the next possible chance for our next attack on you!
For Thomas, the event marked his end of the season. The S2000 engine is now heading to Liechtenstein for it’s deserved revision. While writing those lines, I am sitting at Frankfurt airport about to fly to the Canary Islands where I will close my season together with Heinz-Walter Schewe in the Porsche 996 GT3 Cup at the European Championship final round. You can find all information for Rally Islas Canarias as usual under Calendar.
In addition to that, please find the video of last weekend attached, so you don’t get bored!
