FInally, after quite a while we saw the finish line! Though having to deal with a bunch of incidents even at Rallye Erzgebirge we were able to park our car at parc fermé in the end.

Friday went quite optimal for us. Despite a non-perfect start we managed to stay the night in P10 overall – to be honest our optimum objective for the rally. Accordingly, our expectations for Saturday showed up. First stage – first mishap: After an overshot junction with a stalled engine (time loss approximately 10 to 12 seconds), we had to pass through the final 6 km of the first loop on the rim. Time loss somewhere around 70 seconds, so the final result was already screwed up at this time. 

In the second loop, fading brakes caused a loss in confidence first, after the rear brakes completely disappeared in SS8, we just rolled through the final kilometers to drag ourselves back to the service. Our mechanics managed to fix the issue and in SS9 and 10 we were able to demostrate our potential with even scoring a 9th time overall at the final stage on Sachsenring GP circuit. In the end we found ourselves in P15 overall which is an okay-ish result after all issues. In 2 weeks Mitropacup continues – this time at the Croatian Adria coastline with Rally Opatija.
